17 Apr 09 My Irish Citizenship Application went through!

So after many months of waiting and many returned letters, I finally got through the consulate today and was told that my FBR (Foreign Birth Registry) request for Irish Citizenship has gone through! Now I must patiently wait 8-10 months for a letter that tells me what she told me on the phone. Hurray!

That’s great. My wife was told her application was complete in February. But the processing time between applying and actually receiving your Certificate of Entry from Dublin is at least a year. We are patiently waiting.
